Jade is the sweetest thing you’ll ever meet! She did a fantastic job on my “do whatever you think” haircut! She took her time ensuring every single piece of hair was perfect and the prices were unbelievably low! The whole staff here was sweet little southern belles and treated me like family!

This place is a complete unprofessional, joke… my mother from out of town went here to get her hair done after having to cancel twice because she had Covid. She was scheduled with the hairstylist Amber, I guess she is only a year out of school. Anyways my mom went for a haircut and all over color. She goes to the appt and Amber suggests just a root touch up mind you my mom hasn’t had her hair done in nine weeks so she definitely needed an all over color, but she went with Amber’s advice. Amber started coloring her roots/ grey hair with just a brush no foils as stubborn as my mom’s grey hair is she has always had foils used, but once again she went along with Amber’s advice which was a complete mistake. She proceeded to put my mom under a hot dryer which she should have never done seeing as my mother suffers from psoriasis…. Which she was told about and Amber couldn’t even tell my mom what kind of dye she was using on her- what kind of hair stylist doesn’t know they dye they are using… completely mind blowing… fast forward to when she got home my mom still had grey all in her hair… so she calls for it to be corrected and they put her back with Amber like she didn’t know what she was doing in the first place… my mom goes back in and Amber talks about her puppy that no one cares about she’s there to get her hair corrected, Amber proceeds to tell her some greys are stubborn that color doesn’t take which that’s a lie my mom gets her hair done every six weeks and has never had this issue ever. So she asks for foils, Amber then just puts foils on her not even on the strands she is coloring so the foil falls out while under the dryer, Amber was no where to be found when the time was up had to call the front desk, there was dye all over my moms scalp like Amber didn’t even take the time to wash or style her hair which she more than deserved. The front desk people were rude to her and Amber was an awful hair stylist she needs a lot more training it seems like, never in 54 years was my mom treated like that or had her hair done so horribly. She more than deserves a full refund for the disaster she did on her hair. We will never go there again or recommend it to anyone.

I had such a great experience at southern roots and can’t wait to go back. I’m new to the area and don’t know anyone so I didn’t have anyone to recommend a salon, so I spent the last few months looking at different hashtags on fb and Instagram for example #EvansvillehairStylist and I finally narrowed it down to 3 different salons and In the end chose this one because I liked the vibe they gave off and it just felt right. And I’m so glad I did. My hair was done by “Molly” you can find her on fb as “Hair By Molly Ack” or Instagram as “Hairby_MollyAck” and she was amazing. I seriously can’t wait to have her in my hair again. she was so sweet and patient I say patient because I ended up having to bring my two Rugrats with me (ages 6yrs and 4mo) I’ll just leave it at that I’m sure you can imagine it. With that being said I’m so happy with my salon choice and I’m so in love with my hair. Thank you so much for helping me ditch the mom bun and feel like a brand new me. It’s exactly what I needed and I can’t wait to come back next time hopefully kid free.

Victoria did SUCH an amazing job! I came in with a bad highlight from a previous salon and she SAVED my color! Not only that, she talked me through the process, gave me options and genuinely cared about what I wanted, she also helped me figure out what I actually wanted.
