Critical: ProfessionalismHave been going to them for 4 years now, the first time I went to them was probably the only time I was fully satisfied with the service. I don’t have much experience with other hairdressers here, but it is the owner, Bledi because of whom I will not to this salon again. He has a fake friendliness about him and has often given unsolicited opinions about hair care and the quality of hair products I choose to use. I have fine, thin hair which somehow makes him uncomfortable – he has often quoted me as having an “issue” and there’s only “so much” he can do with my hair. I get it, I have always only asked for trims from him, no fancy cuts and I don’t expect to gain Rapunzel hair just because i’m going to a hair salon but a hair dresser is not a doctor or my family/friend, how about you keep your thoughts to yourself and just do your job? Won’t go back.PS: My issue is not about xmas gifts etc as mentioned in the salon’s response below, could care less about all that. Have been going to them for 4 years now, the first time I went to them was probably the only time I was fully satisfied with the service. I don’t have much experience with other hairdressers here, but it is the owner, Bledi because of whom I will not to this salon again. He has a fake friendliness about him and has often given unsolicited opinions about hair care and the quality of hair products I choose to use. Kristina did a beautiful balayage on me! She gave helpful feedback on what color would look best and made me feel relieved to be in her chair. She made it feel more like a personal experience vs a business transaction. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her career and her clients. Plus she has an eye for detail! I have had many compliments on my hair and I couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t usually go to salons to get my hair done because of personal reasons but with my last experience here, I will be coming back. Kristina did a beautiful balayage on me! She gave helpful feedback on what color would look best and made me feel relieved to be in her chair. She made it feel more like a personal experience vs a business transaction. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her career and her clients. Plus she has an eye for detail! I have had many compliments on my hair and I couldn’t be happier with it. Thank you Kristina!

Critical: Quality, ValueI was a customer at Scizzors for a couple years before I moved from the area. My 17 year old daughter wanted to have her hair professionally dyed blue over the summer before heading to college and I recommended that she go to Scizzors as I had good experiences with cuts and a color there previously. She had an appointment in July 2020 to bleach her hair and apply a fashion color treatment (blue) with a haircut. It was a little pricey but about what I expected to pay for the service, approx. $150. Iliana did a very nice job and it was a beautiful color, looked great! The blue started to fade a lot (which is normal) so after about 5 months my daughter went back and after washing her hair as much as she could to help get the blue out, yesterday she had an appointment to bleach her hair back to a blonde color and to my surprise the price doubled!There was no haircut this time, they didn’t bleach all of her hair (none of her roots were touched)and they didn’t dye it again but the price was almost $300, with a promotional discount?? I about fell over when she told me what they charged her, and there is still blue in her hair. I really hope that she didn’t get taken advantage of because she’s young. My 17 year old daughter wanted to have her hair professionally dyed blue over the summer before heading to college and I recommended that she go to Scizzors as I had good experiences with cuts and a color there previously.
