I was a bit nervous to go to this business due to the amount of negative reviews they have, but I personally had a great experience. I went for tattoo removal, Natasha performed the service and Jessica was working the front desk. Both women were a pleasure to work with, very professional, and took great care of me. I was so nervous because it was my first session ever for tattoo removal, but Natasha was so patient with me, walked me through the whole process, made me feel very comfortable. I know that the tattoo removal process will take months if not years from start to finish, but I already see some fading in ink post session, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much more it fades over the next couple weeks. Natasha set the bar very, very high and I doubt I’ll find as good of a provider (or Groupon deal!) anywhere else. Thank you ladies for taking great care of me!

I had an appointment w/Monique’s in Poway which I waited 6 weeks for . For laser hair removal. I rearranged my very busy work day to make it to my long awaited appointment I was looking forward to, having saved for & wanted laser hair removal for a while. Rushed out of work & experienced bad traffic going to my appointment. At five minutes late Monique’s called me & threatened to charge me for being late told her I was almost there. Couldn’t find their office being tucked in the corner of a big plaza, and it was my first time going there, I ended up only 10 minutes late. When I got there Natosha my technician was standing at the door with a scowl on her face & arms crossed and told me I had to re-schedule my appointment I rushed there for and next time I was late would charge me a $50 late fee. Lol! This is how they greet new patients? I explained I had rushed from work downtown & had traffic. She was very rude ‘ “said it wasn’t their fault I was late.” They schedule all their appointments back to back with no time between. So if anyone is 5 min late they charge $50 & consider you a “no show” & make you re-schedule after driving there & planning your day w/an appointment with them. Read Yelp reviews before choosing them & they were ok. After this very negative experience I read their Google reviews & couldn’t believe a few of them with multiple people saying Monique’s BURNED THEM” & they now have bad scars and Monique’s will not reimburse them or even cares. I’m sure Monique’s waiver says “ you cannot sue if you get burned or scarred” SO HAPPY I DIDN’T GO TO THEM!! It was a blessing I was late & they wouldn’t see me. If I decide another place to get laser hair removal I’m reading ALL reviews. Beware, Monique’s probably has friends/family write the good reviews that first appear on Yelp, their Website & Google.

This review relates to the Chemical peel (Perfect Peel) service I received. The skin care aesthetician applied the peel on me while I laid still and it went into my eyes and skin around ,my eyes. It was extremely scary and stressful as the aesthetician just kept saying this never happened before. I had to wipe my eyes with tissue dipped in water for ten minutes and the pain subsided. I had told her that this was shocking and I do not expect to have to pay for the full price as a result of the mistake made and risk to my eye health. I had to ask her for goggles. She brought some eye covers and I put them on. She finished the treatment and then I continued to wipe my eyes and at the end she said she will have to call the manager. At this point I was told I have to face call with the manager who said I should put anti redness eye drops in my eyes. I asked the aesthetician if she has ever put drops in someone’s eyes before. She said no. At that point I thought I might as well apply it myself, but at the insistence of the manager I allowed the aesthetician to apply the eye drops.

Instead, I received harsh burns in the area that made movement very uncomfortable for weeks, and the hair never actually left. Months later, I still have burn marks. I tried to get a refund from the center but was repeatedly refused. Instead, I received harsh burns in the area that made movement very uncomfortable for weeks, and the hair never actually left. Months later, I still have burn marks. I purchased two Microneedling appointments and I have them before and they make you buy your own numbing cream before a procedure and do not tell you until you arrive. $10 for the cream and it is not even strong so the entire procedure was incredibly painful. On top of that I was double charged. The practioner I had was very degrading and gave me dirty looks. Also the micro needling was very poor quality because I heeled up within one day versus the 7 days it normally takes which means it was not even a deep session. This was my worst experience of a Brazilian wax. She was very cocky cause my to be very tender and break out! I have never been this tender after a waxing. I have also never broken out. She also double dipped. So nasty and if I could give zero stars I would. I would never recommend her for waxing. Worst experience ever
