Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityHands down the worst experience at a hair salon I’ve ever had. I felt it was very unprofessional to pretty much ignore me as the client while my stylist, Kaitlin, chatted and laughed with her and another stylists friends who were hanging out in the salon. At one point while talking with them, she dropped the brush she was using to color my hair with on the floor, said “oh sh*t”, picked it up, and continued to use it. She had asked her fellow stylist to do her a favor, which I thought would be to grab her another brush, but instead, she asked her to pull up her pants a few times. She got the color (black) ALL OVER my forehead, side of my face, and ears.. it’s like she didn’t even try to be careful. Once the color sat, she took me back to wash it out, and really only focused on the top of my head. When she was done washing, I sat up, and she said she needed to get the back some more (the part where my neck / head rests on the sink). I could tell she didn’t get it all out back there, so I was relieved that she wanted me to sit back down. I sat back down for nearly 30 seconds so she could splash some water, and then plopped a towel on top of my head and told me to go sit back down at her chair. She blow dried my hair and straightened it, and while I was on my way home about 30 min away from the salon, I ran my fingers through my hair and realized that from one ear, all the way behind my head to the other ear, still had color in it! It was sticky and all gross stuck together, and I had to open the windows because I could smell the chemicals or whatever the color is that they use. I called the salon and asked for a refund, and Kaitlin told me she’s going to call her boss and that she will get back to me. I never heard from her or her boss, and will be trying to call again, but I panicked the whole way home wondering if the coloring left in, would ruin my hair for being in there for so long. I got home and immediately rewashed my hair and blow dried / straightened all over again.Either Kaitlin doesn’t want to call her boss, and doesn’t plan to, or Kaitlin’s boss doesn’t care about how her employees treat their clients.
