I went here to get my hair colored and just asked for a root touch up…I was over charged when my original appointment was $170 I was charged $290 (still not sure WHY!!!) and my hair was NOT even colored blonde! The back is still completely showing my root color and the front grew in within a couple days. It was as if I got nothing done and then got charged for it. I do not recommend this place if you want to get your hair colored.

I came here yesterday and got a haircut and it was not at all what I wanted. I showed a picture to the stylist of what I wanted and they did what they wanted and their own version of it and I ended up with pretty much straight across bangs and i’m really upset about it. I was panicking in the chair while I was getting it done. it’s not what I wanted and my hair is in my eyes and is annoying me. I hate to say this because everyone there is super nice and for the most part does and nice job but this time around I am not happy with my hair. at all.

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The service itself was a great experience with the result I wanted. I’m taking away two stars only due to the environment – the entire salon is so bright with harsh lighting that it hurt my eyes. There is nothing relaxing or comfortable about it. Idk how to explain it other than they must use the highest watt, true white bulbs every two feet throughout the entire space, so it feels institutional, like you’ll be having surgery, not a salon service. And every surface is bright white, which further adds to the hospital OR vibe.

Critical: ProfessionalismHave been going to Salon Bogar for many years. Even after my stylist left, I stuck with them and faithfully showed for my appointments each and every time. Today, however, I had to cancel my next appointment due to an urgent and unexpected event. Even though the cancellation was over 24 hours, it was less than the 48 hours permitted by their policy. They charged my credit card $171 as punishment. When I told the receptionist that I wouldn’t be back if they opted to proceed with the cancellation charge, she did not care at all. They were more concerned with getting that money than retaining my patronage. I’ll be switching to a salon that values my business and also understands that, on occasion, life events happen. Will never get locked into a strict 48 hour cancellation policy with no exceptions ever again.
