Not only did I not get a color anywhere close to what I asked for but I never got the hair trim I was scheduled for. My hair dresser is retiring after most my life with her and that’s why I went here. The hairdresser double booked the chair and had me get up and wait while she did someone’s extensions. I had told them my hair is deceiving and is actually very thick and takes a lot of color….. all I needed was root touch up. She kept insisting to add some colors for fun. I settled for some dark red highlights on my dark brown/black current color. Not only was I there 5 + hours, got bright RED, black, and still blond roots! No haircut was done and I was told I’d have to come back to “finish” the color. The stylist complained about how thick, difficult, and that I catfished her about how my hair was! Additionally, she was on her phone 90% of the time and the rest was the staff that was there complaining about all the other staff. Worst experience ever. Instead of going back for a “free finishing session” I went to a different salon and had to pay to have my hair corrected…. Several time for over 6 months to get it fixed!! They could not believe the poor coloring or how those colors had gotten the way they did. They stated if more color or bleach had been added to “finish” my color my hair would have fallen out!! Worst experience I’ve ever had not only with outcomes but lack of professionalism!! They did not listen to the customer and in fact blamed my hair/me. Let’s be honest, the entire experience was horrible.

I absolutely love coming to Rustic Roots! Faith does my hair and is an absolute sweetheart and I love the feel every time I walk in the salon. It’s just calming and I actually look forward to getting my hair done! Faith listens and makes sure I leave my appointment happy. I even brought my bridesmaids here to get our nails done for my wedding and my husband got his hair cut here. Everyone loved the girls in there and just the feel of the salon ♥️

Waited a long time to write this review because I didn’t want to say something unfair because I was upset and I’d had my nails done there before and was very happy with that service. Went in a few months ago for an all over color. First off, some of the staff were talking trash about other staff that weren’t there with multiple customers in the salon. I love to gossip as much as the next person but I would never gossip about my coworkers in front of a customer. Second off, the initial color didn’t take very well on my roots (which I understand happens and is not a huge deal). The stylist offered to fix it then and there but I had other places to be so the stylist said to come back later that day and she’d fix it. Well I came back later and got it “fixed”. I could still see that my roots were a different color than my ends. Two stylists in the salon tried to tell me I wasn’t seeing what I know I was seeing. I was literally in tears and it was being insinuated that I was either delusional or lying. Tried to prove it with a ring light of all things. Rings lights are intended to make things look good and hide imperfections. That’s why influencers and such use them. I ended up just leaving because it was clear I wasn’t being listened to. Several friends and family members all agreed that my roots were in fact still different from the rest of my hair. Overall a very frustrating and time consuming experience not to mention the damage it did to my hair. Photo is from 48 hrs post color and after a single wash with color safe salon quality products.

Had an appointment with Faith. She’s nice. But I felt like I was rushed. I was the last appointment so I understand maybe a little urgency to finish since she was closing shop. But she was rough with my hair and scalp. She ripped through my hair when brushing it or sectioning it. Also, I had virgin hair and after getting a full balayage my hair was very dry and damaged.

I had the absolute best Brazilian wax experience with Gabrielle. It wasn’t painful and I was so relaxed that I dozed off. I have never had such a wonderful experience getting a Brazilian. She made me feel comfortable and her room is warm and inviting. She was extremely professional and made sure everything I asked was throughly explained. I am looking forward to scheduling her other services.
