When I go somewhere new I usually just do a cut, nothing fancy, so I can get a feel for a saloon. Janiya was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. I told her I’d like 6-7 inches cut off, but that the rest was up to her. She gave me a beautiful cut- perfect length and some light layers for dimension. I love it! First time here and my hunt for a saloon is over. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. When I go somewhere new I usually just do a cut, nothing fancy, so I can get a feel for a saloon. Janiya was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. I told her I’d like 6-7 inches cut off, but that the rest was up to her. I have a LOT of curly hair, so finding a hair stylist that has experience and patience with hair like mine is very difficult. But she completely changed the game. She really took her time detangling and explained every step after that. I’ve been natural for 5+ years now so I thought I knew everything I needed to know about my hair but I didn’t. She told me about how my hair can have different porosities and how to properly seal the moisture in my hair. She’s also not a scissor happy stylist, she’ll only cut what needs to be cut and if you’re not comfortable with what she recommends, she’ll cut less!! I left the hair salon with shiny, sleek hair and a lot more knowledge.
