Nail Bar and Spa is hit or miss; I’ve had great, good and bad experiences there, but after today I won’t be going back. During a pedicure the tech scrubbed skin and blood off my foot and didn’t notice. It was painful and I had to eventually ask for a bandaid so she would stop rubbing over the same raw open wound. When she saw it she asked if she had done it, and I said yes (but was understanding as accidents do happen).

I’ve been coming to this place for five years and I will now be going to elsewhere. The service at this place has greatly declined year after year. Lately, when I book my appointments with a certain nail tech they always give me someone else upon arrival. The reason I request a certain nail tech is because I like the job that they do. I don’t understand how they think it’s OK for you to make a reservation with the person you requested and then throw someone else on you. Also there was a new guy who was doing my pedicure and I understand the fact that he’s new so he’s just getting acquainted with how everything works however, there was something that he missed and when I brought it to someone’s attention, four of the workers there stood around making weird faces as if I wasn’t supposed to get the service that I was paying for. Then started Speaking in their language while laughing. Well, I can crack jokes too! The blatant disrespect and lack of customer service is the reason why I cannot come back here. I have referred a good amount of reoccurring customers to this place and they all share my same sentiments which they too will be going elsewhere. I’m glad a new new nail salon is opening up in this area because I will not be coming back to nail bar and spa.

It got better..At first I was seated in a chair that was ripped clear through the back and massage panel was broken. Monica saved the day, she noticed and put me in a new chair while others tried fixing the panel which was time consuming. Monica was the only one to offer explaining bonus points and also provide a pedi choice list to me and my friend while we started our pedi. She made the whole experience great!

I came on a Sunday 5 mins early for my 12:45 appointment so I had time to browse the colors. The guy doing my nails apparently didn’t know the actual time of my appointment, so he asked if I was ready before I’d even looked at a color yet. When I said no, he hovered behind me which was incredibly uncomfortable, so I ended up just picking the first color I saw which ultimately was not at all what I wanted. He then made a passive aggressive comment about the time when we sat down saying my appointment was at 12:30. It was 12:47 on the clock & I informed him my appointment was at 12:45. One of my gel nails then came off that very same night. I went back two days later to get it fixed & picked out the color I had gotten before. They had run out of it. My fingernail was then a science experiment for the next 20mins while they tried to find another match. I had 4-5 people hovered over me & the whole salon watching me because of all the hustle & bustle. I asked a few times if I should just pick a new color, but they ignored the question & continued the guessing game. Eventually I asked assertively for a new color & verbally said that I was uncomfortable. The guy told me I would have to pay for it, despite his mess up & them no longer having the color. Another woman then came over & asserted herself into the situation, demanding I let her try another color. I’ll give it to her, the color she picked was spot on. My nails looks fine but the service on both occasions was just so so awful.
