I have gone to Michelle for years and about 2 mos ago I got my nails done and she sand my nail bed to deep I ended up with cellulitis from the chemical of the gel and nail polish. She filed it with her insurance company and I was informed by the insurance company she was not covered,and she has refused to pay my doctor bills. So for those of you that continue to go to her hope you don’t get any kind of nail infection from her shop because she’s not COVERED BY INSURANCE

I have been a customer of Island Nail Spa for a while. As a true southerner that stays barefoot all summer, I can attest to the skill it takes to perform a good pedicure. As someone that raises mastiffs and does their own yard work, to say maintaining nails is just a challenge is putting it mildly. I continue to patronize this business not because; but even though they are super friendly, reasonably priced, very clean (in a field that finding that is more challenging by the day) but because they are truly good at what they do. They are meticulous, conscientious and obviously prideful of their work. In a world where profit is about quantity, not quality, it is refreshing to find a business that cares that I get what I pay for. With that said, I truly feel that I have gotten what I paid for each and every time I leave. Btw, the Mother is adorable and I LOVE my nails this time particularly!! 🙂

I would not even give this people a single star, the owner’s mom & the owners herself are rude, they don’t give a flip if they hurt the client when fileing or cutting cuticles- on top of that, they don’t speak English well to abide by the rules and law of cosmetology, and worse yet, keep going at it in their native language between themselves, mocking the same client still sitting on the chair. When it was time to pay, i said. I am paying because i am a foreigner aswell and know your struggles but be aware what you do is not correct…they started screaming at me and asking me never to return. It should have been the other way around and I should have reported them to the County to have th err ir business license revoked..One person has license and the others never went to get schooled nor certified to operate…Where is the law here??

I’ve just given up on going here. I work very close by so it’s convenient to go here but I get turned away most times. I never see more than two people working so they always say to come back later or another day. Some days they aren’t even open despite what their hours state on the door. Today was the fifth time in a row they were either closed or told me they were too busy so I won’t try coming back again.
