I went to Jenny today to get a skin fade and haircut and it was the literal best hair cut I’ve ever had. Not exaggerating I left there feelin like a million bucks. She was funny and made the whole experience pleasant. No other place in lex I’d go for a straight razor skin fade.

I used to get my hair cut by a lifelong friend i grew up with and was quite particular about it. Although the physical distance between us sadly prevents me from seeing her often. In desperate need of a getagether i wandered into Gingers like a moth ta flame, pulled by what can only be described as a mystic energy. A cloud of anxiety tends to follow me around wherever rome & has since birth. So you can imagine my astonishment as i awkwardly made my clumsy entrance and felt the warm glow of good vibes wash over me and heard lovely almost familiar voices greeting me as if I were a favored regular. Also, miraculously, my cloud hadn’t made its way though the passage with me and i felt so light in my thoughts and heart, i had to keep reminding myself to close my mouth as it drooped in astonishment at how this all felt so familiar. I smiled at two beautiful ladies as they welcomed me. Now here is where my journey really begins. I introduce myself as one does, and sat down. The ladie who will be goin around my ears tells me her name is Jennifer or Jennii as I would say, and she radiates the most gorgeous aura about herself and has a lively, lovely energy that washes away my nerves and put me at ease instantly. I feel ive known her my entire life. She has a very hippie sorta country vibe to her that i love cause i relate to it. I should mention here. She wears her makeup not as a “normal” ladie would, bright colors here n there and jus very laid back. Also, im not much for the general masses of the public, rarely click with people let alone vibe in such a way to talk for a hour straight like highschool chums on the catch up. But thats precisely what commenced. We learnt all about one another and the massive list of loves in life we shate as she made her way around my fade. Im a puddle in the warm comfy chair by the end and i decide, with out the slightest bit of an inclination of a doubt, that I had found a very good lifelong friend, but i alas have now found my Lexington barber. Now in the midst of all the excitement i didnt put it all together till i awkwardly stumbled out the door, after a long goodbye with my two new beautiful friends. But riddle me this, my childhood friend back home whom cut my hair is name Jaquline, who i always called my jakkii, shes also quite the hippie, dosent conform to social norms, loves all forms of art, loves bright makeup, has a child the same age as mine, and also has this way of making me feel safe, loved and not judged, when im with jakkii my mental illness seems to jus go away. Not only does miss jennii share each and every trait i mentioned. Not only do they look strikingly similar but no one has ever came close to gettin my fade as right as jakkii got it, until i sat in miss Jenniis chair. Im aghast at how sometimes the universe has its own little ways of helping us all through. Im very grateful for this morning, and gotdam my hair looks fine.
