RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN. I promise there are stylists who will take better care of your hair. After being an hour late with no communication, Ms. Jay styled my hair on New Years Eve. It was sad to admit this morning that I wasn’t happy with my rope twists, but it’s important to be honest – especially when you do everything you’re supposed to and things still didn’t work out as they should have. At the time they were done, I took a glance and knew I wasn’t super excited about them, but tried to be grateful and wanted to go home. When I went home and took a better look at them, I understood why I wasn’t crazy about them better. I sent an apologetic and gracious text explaining that the twists looked frazzled because she didn’t clean them up before dipping them in boiled water. The ends look like frayed ropes because she cut them straight across rather than coming to a pretty tip like I’m used to. Things like that. She calls me and proceeds to blame me / yell at me rather than conducting herself like a professional who takes pride in their work. I’ve never had a stylist react to me that way… Service professionals should always be respectful of their clients and appreciative of their business. I’ll never go back.

Ms. Jay is so sweet and heavenly. She told me “she treats people the way she wants to be treated” such a nice lady. She was fast and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She has truly gentle hands that made me almost fall asleep a couple times. She truly cares about protecting your natural hair. I receive the no-knot plaits, and they are so light weight I never had plaits that I could pull up right after I left the chair. They look like they are growing out of my scalp and they last for a while. I recommend everyone to go to her for a natural protective hairstyle.

I drove 120 miles from my city and Ms. Jay saved my deadlocked look. I went from a natural afroed hairstyle that was past my shoulders to dreadlocks. I went to one stylist and asked for instant locks but the loctician I went to was clueless. My hair was not in any condition to lock up. I went to another loctician who partially cleaned up her mess, but she also didn’t have the skills needed to make it right. It was frizzy, partially locked and all over the place. When I walked in, Ms. Jay had a very pleasant demeanor and spirit. She explained what she would be doing and showed me what it would look like on one lock before she went any further. I was very pleased and it turned out beautifully. I am finally ecstatic about my locked hair. Thank you Ms. Jay, you are truly a professional!
