I went to Benjamin Salon for the first time because my stylist, Huey, moved there recently. I followed Huey because he is the best barber/stylist I have found since moving back to LA a few years ago. I tried quite a few before I found him. His work is always on point and he is consistently good every time that I go. Prior stylists have slacked off over time, but I actually think his work gets better as he gets to know my hair better.

Huey has been my barber for nearly a year now. After a few bad pandemic haircuts when my barber was forced to close for good, I’m so thankful I found a barber like Huey. It’s important for my job to look right, and Huey keeps me on point with cut skills and much better than the barber I had before pandemic. He’s also a really cool dude. Will definitely continue to keep using him for my cuts!

Absolutely worst experience. I went first to the DTLA location for a Balayage and I got anything but a balayage. Then I went to the West Hollywood location to “fix” it and now I’m just bleach blond and my hair is totally destroyed. This is unacceptable. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Gardner totally messed up my hair and refused to accept responsibility. Not only that, his hunch back and bad breath really made vfor an unpleasant experience with various senses. Would not recommend or at least get ANY other stylist. Gardner is the WORST.

Supremely disappointed with my salon experience. After being quoted $180 for partial highlights for my above the shoulder length hair, no one informed me of the $310 price increase for my service at any point while on the floor, ultimatley resulting in total service fee of $500 (it wasn’t a major transformation to begin with, I was dirty blonde and still a dirty blonde). All that was said during my appointment was that it’ll be brighter than what I had done the previous time I was there, but no mentioned that what I was having done was a significant change (which I didn’t really want in the first place if I’m being honest) or the major price difference.
